Brief:

Selecture were tasked with finding a national Leader for Oil & Gas Consulting for a global consulting firm in Australia.

As there is often a lack of diversity in the energy industry and more broadly our client was also looking to increase the diversity of their senior Leadership team, our client was particularly keen to challenge the status quo and look at a diverse range of candidates.

Approach:

Selecture conducted a detailed market map of active & passive candidates both from industry and within consulting and we utilised a number of different channels to ensure that the longlist contained a very diverse range of candidates.

As we assessed and whittled down the longlist, one candidate particularly stood out and was fast tracked through the process.

Results:

Having starter her career with a large US Oil, she had then moved into consulting and built and led practices within energy. Her international experience in the US and APAC was highly relevant as was a major cutting edge Floating LNG programme which she led and  was industry renowned.

Finally our candidate was a strong advocate for women in Leadership and had a track record of mentoring team members within her practice. Given this experience our client decided to Expand her role to encompass a role regionally promoting and mentoring Women Managers & Directors within the firm.
