Selecture is an award winning search and recruitment consultancy dedicated to placing mid to senior talent within our specialisms. We are the preferred supplier to major consulting firms, boutique strategy firms and major corporates.

We differentiate ourselves by ensuring each of our consultants align to a specific niche, developing deep networks and subject matter expertise within their area. Supported by our world class research, we’re able to identify high quality passive talent, providing clients precise delivery and candidates interesting career opportunities.

Selecture was set up in 2001 and we have offices in London, Singapore and Melbourne. We work globally from our hub offices and have placed professionals in over 20 countries.

Our approach is consultative and we seek to build long term partnerships with our clients and candidates based on trust. This may be why many of our candidates become clients.

David Lancefield - CEO and Global Managing Partner Consulting

David has led the Selecture business since 2001 and relishes working with a team of professionals who thoroughly enjoy what they do and consistently go above and beyond for their clients and candidates.

Throughout his career, David has remained very hands on partnering with founders and business leaders to help them scale & transform their organisation with critical senior hires & key technical specialists. Recent engagements range from securing a regional MD for a VC funded & early stage AI & Analytics firm to hiring a head of Digital Banking Strategy for a Big 4 consulting firm looking to set up a new service line.

By focusing on a few core areas, David aims to provide a deep view of candidate and client communities and valuable market insights. He is dedicated to balancing the requirements of his clients, whilst upholding the highest level of candidate care.

Outside of work, David loves, tennis, skiing, travelling and spending time with family & friends.

Richard Goddard - COO and Global Managing Partner Technology

Richard has over two decades of international search experience across the global technology marketplace and has worked with many leading corporations, mid-sized players and venture capital backed businesses on the build out of their leadership teams in both Asia, Europe and North America.

Prior to his role with Selecture, Richard has spent 12 years in Asia launching and scaling executive search technology businesses, and working with a global portfolio of clients on their Asia and international talent acquisition strategies.

For 18 years he played a pivotal role in the global expansion and leadership of the Technology Practice of a UK public listed recruitment services organisation. During this period he personally led the launch of multi-industry practices in the UK, France, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong and China whilst remaining a prolific executive search partner for his clients around the world.

Richard is known as a very hands-on and passionate business leader with a proven track record of setting the strategic direction of an organisation and driving through the tactical execution across diverse cultures and geographies. These experiences are vital when helping clients select the right calibre of leadership for their own organisations.

Richard is a graduate of European Business Studies and French. In his spare time he is passionate about high performance in sport, food and travel and spending time with his family.

Darren Head - Partner and Head of UK/EMEA

Darren is a specialist recruiter focused on placing management consultants and corporate advisory professionals in to management consulting and in-house roles from Director to Partner level.

Darren joined Selecture in 2006 after running the Recruitment for Lincoln Financial Group, a US Pension and Investment firm.

If he is not training for marathons, obstacle courses or boxing, Darren enjoys the theatre, reading and learning to cook.

Chris Gillibrand - Partner and Head of Singapore/ASEAN

Chris has 15 years of experience recruiting mid-to-senior level Banking Technologists, the last 7 years of which has been focused on the Singapore & Malaysian markets.

After graduating in 2001 from the University of Leeds, Chris began his executive search career in the City of London. He specialised in technology roles for the London Banking markets. Eight years later in 2010 having risen to Senior Manager, Chris moved to Asia living in Singapore.

He has worked in several boutiques search firms where he has built Banking Technology and Change Management search teams. In July 2017 he was invited to join Selecture Global Singapore as a Director of Banking Recruitment.

Chris places people at the senior end of the spectrum, across the Business aligned Banking Technology space such as, Senior Program & Project Management, Business Analysis, Delivery Management and Technology Risk Management fields - with a particular focus on Wealth Management Technology and Core Banking Technology for Wealth, PB, AM, Retail and Institutional Banking.

Throughout his 15 year search career, his clients have included some of the world’s most prestigious Investment & Retail Banks. Also many non-bank finance related organisations, such as Brokerage Houses, Commodities Vendors, Fund and Asset Management firms and Technology driven Trading Houses.

Stephen Wilson - Partner and Head of Australia/ANZ

Stephen is a Senior Partner within Selecture and is based in Melbourne. He has a proven track record of advising in the technology recruitment space over the last 10 years and his experience spans from working with Pre IPO Silicon Valley firms and start ups to larger software vendors and global consulting firms. Stephen has successfully carried out assignments across the UK, EMEA (DACH, Nordics, Benelux and France), the Middle East and more recently Australia.

Stephen has very strong domain knowledge; as well as a growing network within Enterprise (Technology) Security & Forensics – an area of increasing significance across both the SME and larger customer bases.

High on integrity and an advocate of offering a truly consultative service to the market, Stephen brings a fresh and detailed oriented approach to his assignments, keen to understand the needs of those he advises.

Stephen has a degree in Italian & Linguistics from University College London and is an avid sportsman – enjoying squash, golf, skiing and mountain biking.

Claire Whiddett - Company Secretary, Head of Finance & Administration

With 16 years’ experience, Claire is the Company Secretary and the Head of Finance and Administration for Selecture; based in the London office.

With the first 7 years of her career in Retail and Hospitality attaining experience in office management, accounting, secretarial, operations, recruitment, HR, marketing and events; a move to Selecture with its global presence and high reputation in the market was an ideal venture to enable her to build on her already established skills and knowledge. For the past 9 years, she has been managing the Finance and Administration division of Selecture on a global level.

With a membership to Arsenal football club, Claire is an avid spectator of all sports. In addition, she also enjoys reading, music, socialising with her friends and spending time with her young family.

Silvia Atkinson - Finance Director

Silvia has a BA Hons degree in Business and Italian and completed her CIMA qualification in 2008.

Prior to Selecture, Silvia worked with major brands including Warner Bros, Motivate Publishing, and Pacific Magazines and was responsible for managing large finance teams, shaping financial strategy and implementing effective risk management.

Silvia specialises in providing financial services including financial and business strategy, preparation of the financial reports, budgets, forecasts and tax preparation.

In her spare time, Silvia likes to fine tune her culinary expertise.
