My client is a Global Technology powerhouse, with revenues of $15 Billion+, with offices across the world. This is a critical leadership role within my client's Distributed Systems Support organization, and as such they are looking for a ‘High-Impact’ individual with a string technology background and the ability to engage in high bandwidth conversations with Senior Executives. You will take a lead role in taking critical business application support to the next level. If you are looking to challenge yourself this is the role for you, as it will include donning a hands-on technical role, along-side providing a primary managerial role. The scope of the role will include: This is a Global role whereby you will be leading teams of various guises, providing leadership and direction for Application Support teams across the globe. Also, in this remit you will be responsible for the recruitment, development, and retention of a talented group of technology professionals for this core business support function. You’ll be expected to and encouraged to collaborate with colleagues in technology departments across the globe as well as client support and product offices to establish effective and productive business relationships. By the very nature of my client’s business, you will be expected to drive innovation and collaboration in the realm of production support to reduce redundant work and improve efficiency. Director - Technology Practice Leader - Management Consulting - Emerging Technologies for Banking -
My client who are a Global Management Consultancy specialising in Business-aligned Technology Banking initiatives/programs/projects/POCs, predominantly in all things Emerging Technologies, are looking for a Technology Practice Leader/Head of Technology for their Singapore office to predomninatly cover Singapore, though demand in HK is growing consistently. An individual who is a Technology Leader within Technology with a background in Architecture (perhaps as a Lead/Chief Architect at some stage in their career) would be very attractive. You 'll also need to have a very strong commercial acumen for a Technology Consulting role into Banks and the wider Banking 'umbrella'. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in leadership roles in some guise is essential for this role, managing both on and off-shore versatile technology teams – c20-25, Architects, Developers, QA. The role requires an individual who can engage effectively with banking clients, be very commercial and capable of finding niches within current and prospect clients (in order to displace/compete with competitors) in line with my client’s current and potential offerings in the Digital and wider Emerging Technologies Banking land-scape. You must be familiar with at least one of the following traditional banking systems such as Murex, Summit, Calypso, Kondor, Wall Street, Sungard etc for example. This individual will also need to have at the very least a decent level of understanding of emerging technologies such as Big Data, AI, Chatbox (and other Intelligent Automation Technologies), Blockchain (Etherium vs Bitcoin), Cloud (AWS vs Azure) APIs. Ideally you will have Technology consulting experience within FSI, ideally with both local and international banks in Singapore and across Asia, with a very strong Banking C-Suite network. Partner – Global Advisory Firm – Insurance – Package +£300,000 – London, UK My client is seeking a Senior Insurance Executive to lead and support the growth of the Insurance sector within their Financial Services practice. You will be a key part of the management team that develops next generation solutions to transform traditional Insurance companies into efficient, digitally-enabled, customer-centric organisations. You will develop my clients’ Insurance relationships and oversee key transformation programmes for their portfolio. Furthermore, you will set the strategic direction, drive forward the business model, build the practice and develop members of the team. Key expectations from this role include: Develop and execute an effective go-to-market strategy for the Insurance business to create significant growth. Capitalise on relationships developed with Insurance clients as well as acquiring new logos. Lead business development efforts into Insurance clients, with a personal business development target of £3m per annum. Work with the Head of Financial Services to ensure a coherent offering across the industry vertical. Requirements: Strong management consulting experience with proven sales and delivery success in Insurance. Currently working in a globally recognised consulting firm, and/or in senior position in industry with a Consulting background. Extensive knowledge of the General Insurance and/or Life & Pensions market. Experience in digital transformation of the Insurance value chain (RPA, Digital Policy Administration, Digital Claims Management, Blockchain) to assist clients in leveraging digital technologies to reduce cost would be ideal. A proven track record in consulting new business development/account management in large insurance companies across the full sales lifecycle. Experience of proposition building and delivery. Good existing relationships with senior executives of major UK insurers. This is a rare opportunity to join an established global Management Consultancy organisation at the highest level. David Lancefield - Managing Director

David has led the Selecture business since 2001 and relishes working with a team of professionals who thoroughly enjoy what they do and consistently go above and beyond for their clients.

With over 16 years experience in executive search, David has proven expertise in identifying and acquiring key talent with technical and leadership capabilities. He has depth placing senior specialists in business transformation, strategy and operations. Clients include management consultancies, FSIs and major corporates implementing new operating models.

By focusing on a few core areas, David is able to provide a deep view of candidate and client communities and valuable market insights. He is dedicated to balancing the requirements of his clients whilst upholding the highest level of candidate care and has been recognised on several occasions, winning “Recruiter of the Year” award, as voted by clients and candidates.

In his spare time, David enjoys tennis, skiing and relaxing with family and friends.

Silvia Atkinson - Finance Director

Silvia has a BA Hons degree in Business and Italian and completed her CIMA qualification in 2008.

Prior to Selecture, Silvia worked with major brands including Warner Bros, Motivate Publishing, and Pacific Magazines and was responsible for managing large finance teams, shaping financial strategy and  implementing effective risk management.

Silvia specialises in  providing financial services including  financial and business strategy, preparation of the financial reports, budgets, forecasts and tax preparation.

In her spare time, Silvia likes to fine tune her culinary expertise.

Darren Head - Partner, Head of UK Consulting

Darren is a specialist recruiter focused on placing management consultants and corporate advisory professionals in to management consulting and in-house roles from Director to Partner level.

Darren joined Selecture in 2006 after running the Recruitment for Lincoln Financial Group, a US Pension and Investment firm.

If he is not training for marathons, obstacle courses or boxing, Darren enjoys the theatre, reading and learning to cook.

Claire Whiddett - Company Secretary, Head of Finance and Administration

With 16 years’ experience, Claire is the Company Secretary and the Head of Finance and Administration for Selecture; based in the London office.

With the first 9 years of her career in Retail and Hospitality attaining experience in office management, accounting, secretarial, operations, recruitment, HR, marketing and events; a move to Selecture with its global presence and high reputation in the market was an ideal venture to enable her to build on her already established skills and knowledge. For the past 7 years, she has been managing the Finance and Administration division of Selecture on a global level.

With a membership to Arsenal football club, Claire is an avid spectator of all sports. In addition, she also enjoys reading, music, socialising with her friends and spending time with her young family.

Stephen Wilson - Partner, Technology

Stephen is a Senior Partner within Selecture and is based in Melbourne.  He has a proven track record of advising in the technology recruitment space over the last 10 years and his experience spans from working with Pre IPO Silicon Valley firms and DOTCOM start ups to larger software vendors and global consulting firms. Stephen has successfully carried out assignments across the UK, EMEA (DACH, Nordics, Benelux and France), the Middle East and more recently Australia.

Stephen has very strong domain knowledge; as well as a growing network within Enterprise (Technology) Security & Forensics – an area of increasing significance across both the SME and larger customer bases.

High on integrity and an advocate of offering a truly consultative service to the market, Stephen brings a fresh and detailed oriented approach to his assignments, keen to understand the needs of those he advises.

Stephen has a degree in Italian & Linguistics from University College London and is an avid sportsman – enjoying squash, golf, skiing and mountain biking.

Chris Gillibrand - Director, Singapore

Chris has 15 years of experience recruiting mid-to-senior level Banking Technologists, the last 7 years of which has been focused on the Singapore & Malaysian markets.
After graduating in 2001 from the University of Leeds, Chris began his executive search career in the City of London. He specialised in technology roles for the London Banking markets. Eight years later in 2010 having risen to Senior Manager, Chris moved to Asia living in Singapore.
He has worked in numerous boutiques search firms where he has built Banking Technology and Change Management search teams. In July 2017 he was invited to join Selecture Global Singapore as a Director of Banking Recruitment.

Chris places people at the senior end of the spectrum, across the Business aligned Banking Technology space such as, Senior Program & Project Management, Business Analysis, Delivery Management and Technology Risk Management fields - with a particular focus on Wealth Management Technology and Core Banking Technology for Wealth, PB, AM, Retail and Institutional Banking.
Throughout his 15 year search career, his clients have included some of the world’s most prestigious Investment & Retail Banks. Also many non-bank finance related organisations, such as Brokerage Houses, Commodities Vendors, Fund and Asset Management firms and Technology driven Trading Houses.
